During the system development Don’t Run – Beta have been able to run a number of workshops where participants have been put in to groups, normally of two and provided with shoe lasts and necessary materials. They are then given 4 hours and plenty of help to create an upper that fits on to the Don’t Run template. Through these steps they will learn how the construction of a Don’t Run shoe works and by becoming part of the process they’ll witness first hand how prototyping technology offers new possibilities for small scale on demand digital fabrication.
